Chicago rapper Chester, is definitely in a league of his own. Born Chester Gerard Jackson, he grew up as the only child raised
by a single mother. His mother was a cps teacher who was very independent. She taught him about strength and how to
survive. Chester watched his mother struggle with drug addiction, his whole life. Despite her struggles, Chester always viewed
his mother as his Queen. Chester stated, “When I was 5 my momma ex-boyfriend “Bud” tried to kill her. He broke in our crib
and cut her neck several times with a butcher knife and I tried to fight him off with her… She lived from that. This made me
very protective towards the women in my life.” On March 13th, 2009, Chester’s mother came home early from work and went
to sleep. Chester tried to wake her up but she wouldn’t respond. She had suffered a heart attack in her sleep.
This alone can destroy one’s life. As you see Chester pursued his music career even more. Take a listen below to this track off the ep release “Cuffs To Cufflinks” on all digital platforms.
