I-26 Nailz is more than a rapper. The Columbus (OH) resident and Charleston (SC) native has been making music since the tender age of 8. As part of the production team The Beat Arkitekz he has been credited for songs by artists such as The Game, Glasses Malone, Mr. Serv-On, Mitchy Slick and others. But having his beats placed on gold and platinum albums didn’t stop I-26 Nailz from making music from the heart. It’s best described with one word: Sincerity. He makes music for the people, turning pain into inspiration. Falling in love with Hip Hop upon hearing Kool Moe Dee’s “How You Like Me Now”, he draws inspiration from various artists, such as Scarface, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest and UGK. His music reflects his taste, laid back but powerful songs, always focusing on lyricism. His music is relatable. Of his motivation to keep going he says: “I feel that if you put your heart into the music, the fans will eventually hear and feel that and everything starts working from there.” I-26 Nailz recently released his debut album “The Cold, Barren, and Desolate” and is already working on two more projects: his second release “D3M”, as well as a collaborative album with L’Daialogue from Memphis (TN).
